On Processing
Processing is a process that involves dealing with something.

When it involves a process, it means there is a way to standardize it.

If mathematics is based on the logic of numbers, like quantitative, then philosophy is the logic of words, like qualitative. Therefore, logic is essential. They are all devoted to finding a way to conclude the patterns from observations of the phenomenon, based on axioms (principles) and reasoning, refined through a process of proof (examination). In other words, it’s a seeking for truth. However, it’s like looking out to the end of the sea, without a boundary, yet there is a light from the end, like a possibility of hope drawing people in.

To seek the truth in mathematics, numerous individuals have made significant contributions to the field. Then it has developed into a system. Every part can be deconstructed from the top or constructed from the bottom. There is a science.

Philosophy is the highest level of all disciplines, serving as a panorama, because every methodology for such an extreme pursuit in any field can be applied to others. For human beings, psychology is the closest discipline to them, as it works for everyone in the world in their everyday life.

Psychology is about how to process emotions. For a person, any mental problems, no matter how small or large, are the inner voice, showing as emotions.

Such a process on how to deal with emotions can be an engineering, which means it can be quantified. To perceive the emotion, to name the emotion, to analyze the emotion, layer by layer.

Take the suffering as a simple example. In medicine, pain is the first perceived feeling of a disease. In psychology, suffering is. If dividing pain into different degrees, suffering is the highest level.

Where there is suffering, there is a problem. Find the problem within oneself, and target it. The most challenging part is not targeting the current problem that triggers the suffering, but the complexity behind the current problem, like peeling onions, layer by layer, problems with problems, which even releases more suffering. If a person has a very high self-awareness and realizes such a situation, it might drive another crazy suffering, when there is no external fulcrum.

Theoretically, such a process, basic or more complicated, can be standardized as a universal principle, applied to everyone independently, to help more people lead better lives and improve the world.
